Reader, I wanted new brand photos. Not just the smiling-at-the-camera kind β action shots, lifestyle, some abstract stuff mixed in so I had photos for social, blogs, website, etc. My plan was simple: hire a professional. My husband had a different plan. He used to do photography on the side, and still does a few things here and there, so he offered to take them. "You don't have to pay anyone," he said. "I can do it." I obliged, because he is good at it! But.... Here's the thing, though. I feel awkward in front of a camera. I am not the most photogenic person alive, and of course, my husband would never tell me that. So what I love about someone who does this every day for a living is that they give you direction. Where to look. What to do with your face. Your hands. All of it. They'll likely tell you if you need to do something different with your face. π Instead, it was just me, standing there, suddenly unable to remember how humans use their own hands, wondering if I should be walking or gazing thoughtfully into the middle distance like I was about to discover something profound. So naturally, I got irritated and told him he needed to help me. He said, "People go to school and train for this. They do this every day!" I said, "DUH. Exactly why I was going to hire someone." The photos did not turn out the way I wanted...and he had zero time to edit them, because β shocking twist β he also runs a business, and a folder of unedited photos does not fix itself. So I did the thing I wanted to do from the start. I hired a professional, and we took the photos yesterday. It was so much fun! He wasn't wrong that people train for this, and when it's the only thing they do, they can give you the WHOLE experience from start to finish. You know your craft inside and out. You could probably say the same thing about marketing your practice. And maybe you do figure it out. Or maybe you end up with a folder of something that technically happened, standing there wondering what to do with your hands, wishing someone would just tell you where to look. That's the part that's easy to miss when you're doing it alone. Not that you can't take the shot. It's that you can't always see what needs to change while you're the one standing in it. Someone who's trained for this can look at what you're building and tell you, this part's working, this part isn't, here's what to try instead, here's your next move. Someone who can see what you can't see about your own work, and tell you exactly where to look next. That is exactly what we do inside RISE, every single week. If that's the piece missing for you, book a free Expansion Session and let's talk about what that could look like. βοΈ On the blog.βHow to grow your practice without seeing more patients. β If your income is capped by your calendar, this one's for you. What it means to grow without the grin, what stages can't be skipped, and what your practice could look like without your income depending on you being in the room.

I help natural health and wellness providers turn what they know into offers that sell without more 1:1 time with patients. We build the offers, the simple funnel, and the words that sell it, all while you're doing something else. Oh, and I don't believe in marketing that makes you feel gross, or in having to be on social every day to make it work.
Hi Reader! One of my clients brought me to a conference in DC with her team. I got to learn, soak up the room, and be around people doing BIG things. Groundbreaking for the profession. I also got to support her, so we could find ways to get her better results too! When you surround yourself with the right people, things happen. When a CEO is winning and shares that with her team, everybody wins. More money coming into your practice or business means more VALUE for your community. It lets you...

Good morning Reader! Summer's officially done (this is the first weekend we've been home since mid-July π³), school's back in session, and my youngest started 4K this past week. He's never been away from anyone but family before, sooo... drop-off has been rough. For him, and for me too. There may have been a few tears shed on both sides. Here's to hoping next week is much better. π€πΌ So... needless to say, I feel a little behind on what I think I "should" be doing. But I'm at ease about it,...
